Oh dramatize.

It's not like teenagers aren't at least aware of the fact that they can potentially accidentally kill someone they care about; even taking their supernatural stuff into account this just seems like an overreaction. A pretty overreaction, but still an overreaction. Some discomfort is probably warranted given the situation, but not full on "I didn't realize what would happen if I used the microwave to dry off my puppy."

I mean, I assume that humans are still way more susceptible to burning to death than demons - you can kill humans with the right amount of *pillow* after all - if he already has to worry about accidentally setting random people on fire, worrying about someone who can just teleport out of the way before things get too hot seems kind of silly.

@'Ryn: I understand your point, I also agree that Devon is overracting, but as a teenager (even as a person, without counting the fact that he's a teenager) he's been under a lot of stress for the past days due to his powers, so he's been in an emotional roller coaster which makes him emotionally tired. Also at this point, he put an all nighter so he's even more tired and he might be forgetting the fact that Niraya is such a powerful creature (I shouldn't explain my characters personalities, they should show on their own but oh well)

The reason he was keeping his distance from Niraya from the start was exactly because he was aware that he could kill people (hence Niraya, when Devon thought Niraya was human) by accident by his magic (yes, he also knows humans can potentially kill other humans on purpose or by accident, but good people don't usually think of actually killing, or they think about it but never have the guts to do it).

When Devon got to know that Niraya is not human, he was relieved. So he assumed Niraya was indestructible. He's just ignorant of what devils are really capable of. Even if someone reads all night about something, one never gets the whole knowledge. However, Devon wanted to, at least, know something. So, when he read devils can be killed so easily, he was shocked. His brain's first response was emotional, because he's dealing with something that has to do with a person he loves. All humans do, in different ways.

If the main topic of your comment was that Devon was being too dramatic (for a teenager), then I might say that I am making him more like a person who is going through a lot of changes, rather than a teenager who is hormonally unstable.

If the main topic was that he's worrying and overreacting over something silly that should be obvious, it may be:
1) because that's his personality
2) because that was the point of the whole scene

I hope I'm not missing anything or that I didn't misunderstand you, but if I did, please, let me know.

Anyway, I'm sorry for the long reply, and I apologize if I made you upset with the drama. I invite you to keep reading, or you can quit, I thank you for reading my webcomic all this time ^^

But, but, but, Niraya isn't an evil spirit... Does that count?

@Riaya: Technically, devils and demons are evil spirits (though it's more accurate to call them entities but the book is old so it says evil spirits :3) so... yes, Niraya is an evil spirit only in nature
